Our History | Tenaya Creek Brewery — Brewing in Las Vegas Since 1999
Calling Vegas home

Since ’99

We were here early.

One of Las Vegas’ original craft breweries

Tenaya Creek opened in 1999, when locally brewed craft beer was still a rarity in Las Vegas. What began as a restaurant-brewery on North Tenaya Way grew into local distribution, bottled beer, national awards and eventually a much larger production brewery on Bonanza Road.

The city changed. The beer scene grew up around us. Tenaya Creek kept brewing.

In 2023, Beer Zombies took ownership of Tenaya Creek, beginning a new chapter while keeping the brewery, the name and more than two decades of Las Vegas history alive.

Milestones

The journey so far

Since 1999, Tenaya Creek Brewery has been a staple in Las Vegas, growing from a local restaurant-brewery to one of the city’s most recognized names in craft beer. As one of Las Vegas’s oldest breweries, Tenaya Creek has been a constant in the city’s evolving craft beer scene.

Tenaya Creek Restaurant & Brewery opens on North Tenaya Way. Las Vegas’ modern craft beer scene is still in its infancy, and Tenaya Creek becomes one of the city’s early independent breweries.

Beer First

After nearly a decade as a restaurant-brewery, Tenaya Creek closes the kitchen and puts the focus squarely on beer. For the first time, Tenaya Creek begins distributing its drafts throughout Las Vegas.

2010

Bottled & ready

Demand keeps growing. Tenaya Creek expands the brewery, adds a 22 oz. bottling line and puts packaged Tenaya Creek beer into the Las Vegas market.

A New Home on Bonanza

Tenaya Creek moves from its original northwest Las Vegas home to the current brewery on Bonanza Road. The new facility triples brewing capacity, adds canning capability and creates a 28-tap gathering place built around the beer.

2021

Still Winning

More than two decades after opening, Tenaya Creek takes Bronze at the Great American Beer Festival for The Dutch!, a Belgian-style abbey ale.
